"Love your neighbor as you love yourself" - Jesus
That seems like a pretty simplistic idea, but it's a little more complicated that you might think. The general idea is that you should be nice to people, I think we can all agree on that. But, the second part of that command is the hardest, do you really love yourself?
Think about it, how do you talk to yourself? Do you spend your days talking down to yourself? Do you say things like "I'm stupid, I am a loser, I don't deserve good things, I can't get it right"?
I think we all have had seasons in our lives where we have said those very things to ourselves. Now imagine, would you let someone talk to you like that? Hell no. You might Chuch Norris their ass, or at least avoid that person right? Well, don't treat yourself that way either! It takes work, but you have to take inventory of your thought, because they become your emotions, and emotions become habits. Don't make a habit out of self destruction.
And if you need some practical advice on how to get out of that rut, just ask!
